What is EB-5?
The EB-5 Program promotes the funding of domestic businesses with foreign capital to create domestic jobs, while offering Permanent Resident status to the foreign investor family.
Enacted by Congress in 1991 and revised in 2022, administered by the United States Citizenship & Immigration Services, the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program was created with the objective of encouraging foreign nationals to invest in the United States economy. The EB-5 program provides for admission to permanent United States residence to qualified foreign investors who contribute to the economic growth of the United States by investing capital in new, restructured, or expanded businesses in the United States and in turn, create or preserve employment for U.S. workers.
From 2008 to 2015, the EB-5 Program had generated more than $13 Billion in foreign direct investment that has created tens of thousands of new jobs for domestic workers and funded countless new projects.
